
Sad to leave the warm and friendly confines of the Vaughan Lodge in Lahinch. But we rose early for an early tee time at Connemara Isles, a nine-hole course in the bogs outside Galway. Some enthusiastic reviews had us intrigued about playing there.
Commentary and updates from an American golfer participating (with teammates and fellow Torrington, CT High School graduates Chuck Diskavich and Jim Rubino) in the September, 2009 Carlsberg West Coast Challenge, a 72-hole, three-ball Stableford amateur tournament played on the links courses of Bundoran, Donegal, Enniscrone and Strandhill in Ireland’s County Donegal and County Sligo.
